When I was little I was forced to wear those footie pajamas that I never could take off to go potty in which caused major potty training issues. Once I got old enough to protest and say what I wanted I have slept in yoga pants and tshirts or in teddys. This picture is of me in my pjs having a snack of chips dipped in soy sauce with my son who at 2 years old protests to wear pajamas pants to bed so he is in his pajama top and his daddys boots. :)
Love you and God Bless from Your Readers, Amanda and little Paxton. ______________________________
PJ stories remind me of Christmas as a child. Why? Well, as a child I decided to try to locate the good Christmas gifts that my parents had to have bought and hidden around the house. I searched all of the good hiding spots that I could think of and the only thing that I ever found before Christmas was flannel pajamas. I did this for several years too. As a adult, I told my Mom about my searches and just got a knowing smile. The pajamas were bait where they could be found easily. My Mom still won't tell me the hiding spots she used for the toys. I'm 42 and still have no idea!
I'm more of a old tee sort of adult but my Mom still loves her flannel PJs. One of the gifts that I gave her for last Christmas is a sky blue pair of pajamas covered with owls, moons, and stars. They are adorable and look so warm and soft. I imagine her wearing them while enjoying her morning cup of coffee during these cold January days. Thanks for the fun contest! Suzanne,
When I was young my mom made our pajamas - mostly nightgowns, which I loved - and they matched my sisters. I wear t-shirts with my favorite, favorite, flannel pj bottoms now. I get too hot to wear full blown pj's - that dasterdly menopause is not nice sometimes.
When I get home from work the first thing I do is change into my flannel pj bottoms!!!! I love to be comfortable and if I could wear them out I would. Josie ______________________________
My family had five children and my two younger brothers were only 15 months apart. One Christmas eve they had been sent to bed but of course couldn’t sleep with all the excitement in the air! The older 3 children were sitting in the living room with my parents looking at the Christmas tree when we heard giggles coming from the hallway. A quick glance showed two round red tummies poking out from the hallway – my brothers dressed in their bright red pajamas with feet…40 years later I remember it like it was yesterday. Christmas at home surrounded by love… Linda

I started the tradition of red Christmas pajamas when my children were just babies. The PJs were the only christmas present that they got to open on Christmas Eve. Although they outgrew red footie PJs to soon for me, they still insist on their Christmas pajamas. This year, my 23 year old daughter asked if they made footie pajamas for adults.
Now I have step grandbabies, I continue the tradition. Only now I have added a Christmas book with the pajamas. After they open their present and take a bath, They sit in "Pops" lap and read the new book. I am proud to pass on this tradition along with my love of books. Mary ______________________________
Pj days are great memories and my girls declare no school snow days PJ day too. We pop popcorn watch movies, read lots and lots (did I say lots) of books and just snuggle up together! I LOVE PJ days! You also have to sing the flannel jammie song: "I"m wearing flannel jammies cause it is cold!" while you sing it you gotta do a silly dance. :) yes we are some goofy girls.
I don't have a picture sorry but I hope this will still count. Thank you Shannon ______________________________
Dear Suzanne - don't have a pj story of my own - so thought i'd share with you the pj tradition I've started with my gr. children (ages 10 and 7) - am sure it's not an original idea, but for christmas every year for a few years now, I send them a gift of pajamas for Aidan and gown for Eva - which they open on Christmas Eve and wear to bed that night - you've given me the idea now to request that my dtr. make a picture of them in their new Christmas Eve gifts and send it to me so I can start a little Christmas scrapbook for them -
Thanks for sharing all that you do with your readers - Am sure everyone enjoys as much as i do - And keep that bubble machine blowing those bubbles !!!
With sincere gratitude, - Doris ______________________________
This probably doesn't count, but my husband just passed away 3 weeks ago, and I've found it comforting to wrap up in his old blue robe. Its definitely seen better days, but the moment I slip it on, it makes me feel closer to him. Carolyn
